Jyotish Kovid James Kelleher has been a full-time Vedic astrologer since 1980.  He was introduced to Vedic astrology in 1975 by M. K. Gandhi, a world-renowned Vedic astrologer and spiritual adept.  After studying astrology in India, Jim worked as a professional astrologer in London for five years, assisting Gandhi with his diverse international clientele.  In 1984 he returned to the United States and quickly became one of the country’s leading Vedic astrologers.  He is the cofounder of the American Council of Vedic Astrology and the American College of Vedic Astrology.  He has been awarded the titles of Jyotish Kovid and Jyotish Vachaspati by the Indian Council of Astrological Sciences. Jim maintains a busy private practice in Nevada City, California.

World Predictions 2013-2020
James discusses the likely course of the world in the next decade.  Drawing from the charts of the United States, China, Pakistan, Iran, Israel, and many other countries of the world, he describes world-wide trends and events and shows how these events fit in to a greater pattern of global evolution.

For the past 7 years James has repeatedly predicted that 2008 would be a year of huge “global transition”. He said that this transition would be triggered by the entry of the USA into the Mars Major period.  In fact, the Mars Major period started on September 30, 2008, the exact day of the financial meltdown! This year, he reviews the situation in the world and gives predictions for the USA’s Ketu sub period, which toes from March 29, 2013 – August 25, 2013.  He also describes the Saturn-Rahu conjunction that will affect the entire world during 2013.

James also talks about the stock market, earthquakes, and political struggles that are reflected in the Vedic charts for various countries. In the process he makes predictions for future trends and events taking place in the next decade.

In previous lectures James has predicted the exact time of the beginning of the Japanese recession in January of 1993, the beginning of the gulf war, the year of the Loma Prieta Earthquake, the Northridge earthquake in Los Angeles (within two weeks), the long term change in the Stock market starting in 2000, the exact day of the US entry into the war in Iraq, and the capture of Saddam Hussein (within one month).

Find out what James has to say about the proliferation of nuclear weapons, big earthquakes in California, the US economy, the situation in Africa, the future for China and India, the war in Iraq, and a variety of other topics.

Understanding Signs and Omens
Nimitta is the science of omens.  Typically assigned to the realm of superstition, Omens have been used effectively by most ancient cultures to understand life and to make accurate predictions about the future.  In ancient India, astrologers used the science of Nimitta as an extension of Vedic astrology.  In fact, one need not be an astrologer to use this science or to take this course.  Every householder in India used and benefitted from a little knowledge of common omens in his immediate environment.  In this workshop, Jim presents the science of omens in a new light, bringing it out of the area of superstition and into the light of awareness.  Intelligently used, Nimitta allows one to extend his awareness to the subtle clues given by the environment in such a way as to read those clues and better understand the workings of karma.  Areas covered may include the use of direction, numbers, colors, tastes, smells, and time of day.

Introduction to Palmistry
A detailed discussion of the science of palmistry is followed by a hands-on workshop of analyzing your own palm.  Find out how to use palms to read psychological patterns and learn about different areas of life such as health and career.
